Top 20 Classic EDM videos – Part 1

There are lots of EDM music videos with, let’s say, a bit variety in its qualities. If you get a record company to actually put in some $$$ to create a music video for your track – it usually involves slow-motion nature scenes, a sportscar, some bikini women and the artist standing on various places with some sunglasses.

But during time, there are some gems appearing. Videos with a meaning, or some sort of creative excellence. So here goes nothing; Innotunes Top 20 selected EDM videos  that deserves to be called a “classic”

Chemical Brothers – Star Guitar

Such an mesmerizing video. Everytime I go on a train I try to sync everything outside to the music I’m listening to after this music video.

Roger Sanchez – Another Chance

Great story in this one, and also a bit… eh… heart-breaking?

Stardust – Music Sounds Better With You

Yet another video with a great and funny story. Can’t expect anything less when Mr. Daft Punk 1 (Thomas Bangalter) is involved.

Daft Punk – Interstella 5555

The film is the visual realization of Discovery, an album by Daft Punk. Each track from the album has been animated as an episode in the story of the abduction and rescue of an interstellar pop band. Jaw dropping!

Massive Attack – Unfinished Sympathy

Great video from 1991 (wow, that’s almost 20 years now!) – and notice that it’s all made in one take.

Kraftwerk – The Robots

The pioneers. The inventors. The genious. Released in 1977, before slow motion was invented. However, this didn’t stop the Germans – they just walked reaaaally slooooow.

Basement Jaxx – Where’s Your Head At

Basement Jaxx surely set the standard for crazy music videos in the 90s. Monkeys!

Røyksopp – Remind Me

Røyksopp have always had great videos, but this one is pure special. It even won the best video at MTV Europe Music Awards in 2002.

Etienne De Crecy – Am I Wrong

Suddenly there was a bunch of 3D-animated videos being pumped out by the marketing departments of record companies in the 90s. Some didn’t work out that well (Gouryella?), but this one was worthy for our list.

Fatboy Slim – Weapon Of Choice

I don’t know how he did it, but Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) managed to get Christopher Walken (Famous from movies such as Last Man Standing, James Bond, Hairspray etc..) in his music video, dancing all over Marriott Hotel in L.A. Epic.

Stay tuned for Part 2 very, very, very soon…

    Oh, bunch of great videos.

Btw: Christopher Walken isn’t Angelina Jolie’s dad, Jon Voight is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jon_voight

They do look a bit same though.
